Meet Frido!

Frido is a member of the PaleoMIX team at the University of Copenhagen. His research group is interested in using innovative biomolecular methods, particularly the study of ancient proteins, to study human evolution across the last one million years, from phyloproteomic analysis to the integration of palaeoproteomics into zooarchaeological research practices. He is currently leading the ERC Starting Grant “PROSPER” that aims to provide new tools to resolve the phylogenetic relationships between a number of hominin populations in existence in the Middle and Late Pleistocene (https://www.welker-group.org/home/projects/prosper).
